AI IN FINANCE

Two Days. Real Data. Real Decisions. Executive‑Ready Analysis You Build Yourself.

Most finance teams already have access to AI. Very few have been shown exactly how to use it inside the work they actually do: reading a balance sheet, building a rolling cash flow forecast, stress testing next year’s budget, or turning a stack of departmental numbers into a report a CFO can act on before the next meeting.

Most AI training available to finance teams does not close that gap. It explains AI in the abstract, or borrows generic examples from outside the profession, and leaves delegates to work out the finance application on their own, back at their desk, without the tool still open in front of them.

This masterclass is built differently. Two days, real financial statements from real companies, and a trainer who has spent over fifteen years delivering exactly this kind of training inside some of the world’s biggest financial institutions, guiding delegates to build the analysis themselves, in the room, with AI open and running throughout.

Who Should Attend?

This programme is built for finance professionals who want to apply AI themselves, not receive a summary of it from someone else:

  • Finance Managers and Financial Analysts
  • Accountants and Financial Controllers
  • Budgeting, Planning and FP&A Professionals
  • Treasury and Working Capital Professionals
  • Finance Business Partners and Commercial Finance Professionals
  • Finance Directors and senior finance leaders who want direct, hands-on fluency with these tools
  • Corporate Finance and Financial Reporting Professionals
  • Risk and Internal Audit Professionals who work closely with financial statements and forecasts
  • Finance professionals preparing for broader leadership responsibility within the finance function

Benefits of Attending

By the end of the programme, delegates will be able to:

  • Apply AI tools directly within core finance processes, as part of how the work gets done, not as a separate exercise
  • Produce faster, sharper financial analysis and management reporting
  • Build AI-assisted cash flow, budgeting and forecasting models
  • Run scenario analysis and stress tests using AI
  • Walk away with a personal toolkit of ready-to-use AI prompts and templates, plus an executive-ready financial analysis of a company of their choice, built during the programme

Session 1: Reading the Numbers with AI

Chris demonstrates how to use AI to interpret income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements, pulling out the signal in minutes rather than hours. Delegates then apply the same approach to their own data set, before the full group reconvenes to build a complete executive-level summary together, live.

Session 2: Ratio and Trend Analysis

Chris demonstrates profitability, liquidity and solvency ratio analysis, benchmarked with AI using Engro Corporation as the live case study. Delegates repeat the exercise on Engro’s own published financials, then use AI to draft narrative commentary directly from the ratio output. The session closes with the Ratio Mix and Match exercise: delegates receive six anonymised ratio sets and six named companies, Engro, Lucky Cement, Unilever, Microsoft, Aramco and Emirates, and use AI to test their reasoning and match each set to the correct company.

Session 3: Consolidated Reporting and Insights

This session opens with multi-department financials consolidated live, using AI. Delegates then build their own stakeholder highlights summary, and use AI to automate the charts and visualisations that would normally take an analyst hours to produce by hand.

Session 4: Cash Flow Fundamentals and Forecasting

Chris demonstrates direct and indirect cash flow mapping with AI. Delegates then build and compare rolling cash flow forecasts across three companies, Engro, Lucky Cement and Unilever, to see directly how sector and market conditions shape the numbers, before working through scenario planning and funding gap analysis.

Session 5: Working Capital and Treasury Management

Receivables, payables and inventory turnover analysis with AI opens the session. Delegates then calculate and compare working capital requirements across Engro, Lucky Cement and Unilever, and use AI to draft treasury policy notes and reconciliation summaries.

Session 6: Stress Testing and Scenario Analysis

Best and worst case scenario modelling with AI comes first, again using Engro, Lucky Cement and Unilever as the comparison set. Delegates then build their own scenario comparison across the three companies and produce an executive risk dashboard.

Session 7: Budget Planning and Structuring

Chris demonstrates top-down and bottom-up budget building with AI. Delegates then create their own departmental budget template, benchmarked against Engro, Lucky Cement and Unilever, and draft the accompanying budget policy notes and highlights.

Session 8: Advanced Forecasting and Performance Review

Rolling forecasts and variance analysis with AI close out the demonstrations. Delegates then build a full forecast versus actual comparison across Engro, Lucky Cement and Unilever, before closing the programme with a final management presentation.

Closing Capstone: The Executive-Ready Analysis

An open-ended close to the programme. Delegates choose any company, their own organisation or another, and use every AI tool and technique covered across the two days to produce a polished financial summary: the kind of analysis that would once have taken days, built in a single session.
